I'm thinking of upgrading my webcam to the new 4K ultra HD logitech Brio. Check out this review! Fascinating! It's amazing that you can get a 920 for $54 or 922 for $84 (that's the one i have) I've been shooting my custom videos on my webcam lately....

I can't speak for others, but personally I'm going on 8 or so years with this monitor and haven't felt the need to upgrade my 1080 display.

I'm also still rocking the DSLR which will put out 1080p @30 fps (maybe 60 fps?) in a tethered webcam mode. Obviously a lower resolution but I'm certain that my lens is superior to whatever optics they throw in a webcam.

4K is important, (at least from a marketing perspective), but HDR (high dynamic range) will provide more visually popping images that people will notice over higher resolution.

I'm pretty sure the cameras you're considering support HDR, but confirm before investing.
