So the fans pumped literally BILLIONS into onlyfans spending money on porn and they are now banning it....

I'm very disappointed in how OF has turned there backs completely on the people who made them what they are today. If they thought they were having troubles getting investors now, wait until Nov., when their profits are down 98%. I'll wait to see what the creators(models) go, and what they suggest, but it'll be a good riddance to OF I believe.

They are not doing it by choice. The anti-porn folks couldn't get porn made illegal because it is protected by the First Amendment. So now they pressure banks, payment processors and credit card companies to put pressure on places like OF. Mastercard has told OF that they need to check every single thing uploaded by the thousands upon thousands of creators on the platform (including live streams) or they will stop processing payments for them. There is no way OF can comply, so they are forced to remove porn and lose everything they have built.

That's the sad part; the payment processors feel like they perfectly within their rights to push their idea of right and wrong (despite what is legal) onto others, and there is nothing we can do about it.

Maybe that was the plan all along? Use porn to build them into the behemoth that they are and then kick us all out. After taking away our 5% referral fees as well.

There's not really I can add to what's already been said other than I think as a platform OnlyFans has always (to me from the outside looking in) not handled the content creators on there very well, treated them very well or been much support - just gleaned from the occasional tweets I would see from models and performers complaining how they were waiting for help or answers to queries.

I did hear something the other day though that surprised me quite a bit - and that's that there are some mortgage providers over here treat applicants who have several OnlyFans subscriptions the same as people with gambling issues! Whether this is true or not I can't say, it's just something I heard. BUT to be honest there was one point I had a few too many OnlyFans subs on the go so had to be a bit more sensible about it! It was like a tube of Pringles... once you pop you can't stop. VERY easy to just say, yes I'll take that discounted month and then not realise it rebills at four or five times the amount. Now - in some ways - what is happening may be, for me at least, beneficial because people are going to have their favourites and their support should be more focused!

Treating OnlyFans subscriptions as a gambling addiction might be a bit extreme. But your point about once you pop you can't stop is very valid. Its what stops me from signing on to TV streaming services. I only have a limited number of hours a day to watch TV and signing up to too many services just wouldn't be a good ROI. At the moment all I have is Roku. Plus my basic cable, which I would really like to get rid of.

That's why I had to back off. I mean, you want to follow your favorite. But I somewhat quickly realized how much I'd be spending, and my money is rather tight. So I had to back off to 3, and I may drop one of those.

I have hopes that my money woes will end by the end of the year, but we'll see.

If you take a small sampling of the people on this forum who were also on only fans the percentage of people who got fucked over by them is amazingly high.

Josh was charged several $100 on his credit card that he never authorized, and went through months of fighting with them to get it back, the Same thing happened to Shaft, Zany was just charged $50 that she had to fight, and it just happened to Dave last month. He was only following me for 5.99 per month so we could see what my membership looked like from a fan point of view and all of a sudden he had 4 other charges on his credit card....

Oh I agree it isn't comparable to a gambling addiction - and you don't know for sure how these stories are glorified. It could all be Chinese whispers and just by the time I heard it, the story was that was how it was viewed and people were being denied mortgages for having OF subs!

How does the tax thing work when making an OnlyFans purchase in the States? Because despite everything being in dollars, VAT is added to every single transaction at my end...so $5 is actually $6, $25 is $30 and so on... of course the taxman has to take is cut but just out of curiosity - if you click to buy something for $5 on there, do you just get charged $5?

Something that I find annoying is when people ask a model a question about their OF page because let's be honest, a lot of girls don't have shit in their bio about what you'll see and the response they get is "just subscribe and find out, it's only $10". Imagine if you did that every time you came across some girl on twitter promoting her OF page, that shit adds up quickly. I do the same! But, I only have two cards. So, the low-limit card is for online purchases and local purchases when I have forgotten to go to the ATM. The higher-limit card isn't used that much. What little use it gets is for local purchases (car repairs, mostly) where I forgot to go to the ATM. I love cash!

I tend to use a debit card for in-store purchases. Sort of like cash, but without having to actually carry cash. I think debit cards are used a lot more in Canada than the US.

I'm at a point where adding something to my credit card just adds to my financial burden, making it take even longer to pay it off. I may be nearing a point where all that will be handled. (Trying to sell my house.) But for now, I pretty much need to use my debit card for local, every day purchases. And I've used it on line for sites I trust. Obviously, I can't pay off my CC debt every month. But, if I can get to that point, I"ll be back in business, lol.

And once again, they tell the news outlets before they ever tell us..... They just have such a shitty attitude towards us about everything.... When they make any program changes they never tell us about anything..... We are just left to figure things out...... When the site is down for maintenance they never tell anyone.... Customer service takes 3 days to get an email response as opposed to one hour from loyal fans..... They just suck in every way possible..... I really hope everyone still leaves them and goes to loyal fans......
