Sometimes I want to punch Amazon and other companies right in the mouth. Because I live in Canada, I can't access Jamie's show, and I'm an Amazon Prime member !! I can't even rent it because my region (Canada) won't allow access. I'm a little cheezed right now!! I have the same problem buying stuff from Amazon. I only have access to products listed on the Canadian website....Mike is gettin' upset !!!!

Geez, don't understand that one. I've bought things from the UK site several times. I would assume that they could buy things from the U.S. site, but maybe not. I don't know.

Nope when I buy a gift card for my programmer's birthday that is in Holland, I have to go to the .Co uk site or the actual .NL site. But if I want to buy a gift card. For my CMS guy who is in Mexico, I can send him from the. MX or the American.com he is allowed to purchase from either. I guess it all has to do with trade regulations?

I try to avoid buying off Amazon, but often get redirected there when I'm looking up products. The decision to sell out of region is up to the seller. Some will ship to Canada, some won't. Sometimes even for the same product. Sometimes the cost of shipping to Canada is more than the product is worth. (I don't buy enough to justify the cost of Prime.)

I think I once saw a pair of nursing scissors that cost about $ 17 and had a $99 shipping fee. I actually emailed the company about this and their attitude was take it or leave it. I'd already left.

The fees I love are those things they advertise on TV. "Buy this one and we'll send you a second one FREE! All you gotta do is pay a separate fee."

Wait, WHAT? What fee? You just said it's FREE!. If you order something like that, you get two in the same box. They simply open one box, pull two off the shelf, stuff 'em in the box and seal it. Shipping is about $2 - $3 for the extra weight. But the extra "fee" is usually $10 or more. Notice in the advertising they never tell you what the fee is. You have to actually go to the site to find out what it is.

Many will say, "It's still cheaper than two of the item." That's true. But I don't like being lied to. If it's FREE, there's no fee.

shoot even with stuff that is free, but you have to pay shipping and handling still, it's not free really
