Going Live with the new WebRTC CAM SYSTEM!

They worked all night, it really looks good! I'm gonna do a soft launch with Sara Jay and Maxine today! I have confidence it will work for the shows, archive properly, and record the votes!

Please help me take notes and come up with one final list of changes/bug fixes/improvements... like i know the title bars have to be edited etc....

It was working really good during Sara's show, then Sara froze and I waited for her to unfreeze, but did not happen. I logged out refresh the page and I got "Invalid token!" I rebooted my laptop to start all over again. Tried both Firefox and Chrome, got the same message on both! I sent u a pic Vicky!

All things are working for me, camera, my voice over internet, sending images, sending smileys, gives issues sometimes but refreshing cures it. Thanks for all the hard work Vicky and all participating parties I hope can sit back and relax

I had the same problems as Zany. Numerous times I would refresh or whatever and just get that error page. One thing, Zany, be sure that your old bookmark is written over. But there might be places in the code where the old "redirect" link still exists, I don't know.

Most of my problems are on my HP laptop, where I had all the issues last week with Flash. Missing icons (cam icon, for example,) Still can't get my cam on (as a member,) yet my cam light is on. My system tells me that another app is using the cam. I don't understand that, as I don't use the camera anywhere but here. I DID use it for a Zoom meeting a couple weeks ago, but have no idea how that could affect my VNA viewing.

But, again, a lot of the things that don't work on my HP work on my Lenovo. So that tells me that the problem is most likely here. One that doesn't work on both is the cam issue. Same issue on both computers. I am frustrated with this HP. There has to be some problem in my settings, I am about ready to do a Win10 repair, then remove Chrome and redownload it. Edge seemed to work better, too, but still, no cam.

I've got a couple scncaps and some notes in a Word doc. I'll send it via email.

No, I don't have teamviewer. So I looked it up, downloaded and installed it. That would be awfully nice of him to help me. Let me know how and when he'd like to get ahold of me. You can give him my number if he wants it.

He told me he thinks the reason you can't turn on your cam is because you are a moderator. Even though you are logging in as a member on another computer, it's the same IP address so the system still sees you as moderator. Could you clear cookies and cache and just log in as a member only and see if you have the option to turn on your cam?

I've been having the same thoughts. I normally don't log in for both, mainly just for your show so I can vote. I was doing both for testing. So I'll try that out at Kelley's show this afternoon. Also possibly the extensions we talked about.

And, yes about moderators cams. Mods couldn't use their cams in the old room and I might guess it's the same here.

Mods are supposed to be concentrating on the shows... lol... not masturbating! (Just teasing!)

So the biggest issue we are having right now is when the next model comes in it "resets" everything.... because the way webrtc works is on "sessions" one "session" has to end, it creates the archive, and tabulates votes, and the next "session" has to start when the next model comes in. Starting/stopping sessions is not pretty for the viewers... we are working on it!

So mods just warn the model to finish on time and don't go over because if there is a model who comes in on time, she will inadvertently kick you out.... I'll keep you informed on the progress on making it a smoother transition.

Overall I'd say it was a great first day though!

To members who can't get on cam, or don't see the little red video icon to start your cam, it's likely a plug-in or extension on your browser like malwarebytes or a vpn software or something that is "protecting you" we can't control that, it's not a bug in the system, it's in your browser. ... you could try downloading a fresh simple browser like opera with no addins to see if it works then.

When I can get in as carl its more accidently than as usual.

Sorry the server didn't allow enough connections, we adjusted it, and now are adjusting it again...
It's all new! This is stuff we can't test beforehand with 3 people.... there is nothing like real life to test it!

At the same time Kelley is streaming from a wireless connection in a hotel room! I would never do that in a million years! She should set the stream on the lowest possible setting, like 480p.

There are a couple of things the moderators can do to help the models out when they are seeing this layout for the 1st time.

If they are on PC they can press the F11 key to go full screen And they can also press Control minus, to fit more onto the page. Press F11 again to get your browser menus back.

Could you PC users try this and see if it's all good for you?

Sorry i know that's hard to read, it's just to show you that they can stream in 360p, 480p, 720p or 1080p. They get the choices in a pull down menu below their video.

PS I found this about Mac for the equivalent of F11 on PC.
Making a window "full screen" (Command-Control-F, or the green dot), won't give you a truly full screen experience by default. Both on Safari and Chrome, the toolbar and tab bar will remain. However, you can set those to autohide in full screen, matching the behavior in Windows.

Members don't have to refresh the screen anymore. We got the "lobby" thing working now.... so members just stay in the room and the model will show up when she is on... No kicking everyone out, no refreshing..... every day it gets better! I tested with Gabby, Payton, Kelley, Kimber, and Mandy individually last night and today, so I know they will be good for their shows... I'll continue with all the rest of the models.

Basically for WebRTC you did need a recent device, phone, tablet, computer, etc... with an updated browser (with no plugins). All IOS devices must use Safari, for everything else chrome is recommended.

if Samantha ever comes back it will be a good thing for her, I know she had a lot of problems with lag and other things with her shows.

Aside from getting the models and moderators into the user lists, and making the userlists alphabetical, what else is left?

What other bugs do we have? (aside from MonicaMilf not being able to stream! We are working on that.)

I hate being the bearer of bad news, but my timestamp (in the camroom) is an hour behind for me, but the schedule is correct. It's not really a deal breaker, all the important stuff work great.
