I have totally lost track of what is happening at pornhub and xvideos. Someone please let me know when its safe to go back in the water.

I agree with most of what she says, sure they don't create child porn or actively or intentially upload it, but they sure as hell don't take it down either when asked to? That is my issue. Ask the parents of underage minors who begged to have their children's videos removed? Just because Facebook has more of it doesn't excuse them?

It's been the wild west since 2006 they didn't listen to any of us, we begged them not to profit from our hard work, giving it away for free, rendering our websites worthless.... but they didn't listen. Now they removed it but for visa not for us.

The 20 girls who got duped into shooting porn and whose lives and real names were all over the internet? They begged for that content to be taken down? Did they listen? No, the girls families disowned them, they lost jobs, they couldn't rent apartments or get new jobs?

Now all of a sudden they are good guys? Let's not get confused here. All they care about is $$$$ doesn't matter who they hurt.

To me that doesn't sound like she's super enthusiastic about PH, but of course I might be wrong. She works with them and does some promotion for them when she poses in items from their clothing line i.e. . She seems to have a far more nuanced view than Asa Akira though.
The article focuses more on the current witch-hunt against Sex Workers by lobby groups and her aim is apparently to make a point that there's a huge difference between regulated porn and human trafficking.
That being said, I'm probably super biased, because I'm a huge fan...

Pornhub does need to be held accountable for a lot of horrible things, copyright infringements (an euphemism for "theft"), offering a platform for people to upload rape videos and making huge profits out of exploiting people.
I don't know if it's a good thing for performers that credit card companies still don't work with Pornhub now that there's finally a chance for the original content creators to get paid?

(A bit off topic, but a question because I never watched porn until like 2 years ago. Is it true or just my impression that tube sites accustom people to more and more extreme content? Even if I searched for something quite vanilla (with cookies and tracking off), I get the most brutal extreme results?)

Yes they finally starting paying us while simultaneously allowing our stuff to be viewed free competing against us. What they pay is virtually pennies.... it used to be $6 for every 1000 views or downloads... no one can live off that? Since they lost visa they lowered it to $3. (model hub options were a little better, guess they are trying to compete with onlyfans)

Since they lost their Visa they have been referring sales to us as affiliates. They get 50% of every sale and rebill they send us if a surfer clicks a link and comes to our sites. So for example you join tashas site through pornhub for 20 they get 10, ccbill gets 1 and tasha and I each get 4.50. The affiliate sales have definitely gone up recently. It's a lot of hard work on our part,we have about 8 employees we pay to edit and process content us dave shooting and editing and processing and to do all the uploading to those tube sites for advertising. We also have all the bandwith/hosting/tech and me full time on customer service accounting plus being a model...

Honestly porn is a lot of hard work that no one sees..... how often I wonder if I shouldn't have opened a gym or something, but I guess with covid I'm happy where I am!

I'm just rambling..... lol.... I don't care what you say we all did better $$ and worked less, before they were on the scene and i did hear that Asa is married to or living with one of them.

How nice to see that the scam of affiliating still works to screw (not the good kind) porn performers and camgirls out of their hard earned money.

Like I always say: if you want to support your favorite porn girl, do so directly through their sites. And, tip them directly. Eliminate the middleman.

I saw that. I bet most of those larger companies are all guilty of ripping performers off. I don't doubt at all that this stuff goes on. These innocent women go in to perform and they are forced, coerced and made to do the things the "producer" wanted. Then it is shown to the world. Surely you've heard by now that once something is out there, it is out there for every one and for all time. So these companies are going to do everything they can get away with to bring in more money.

Its worse than that, none of the women are performers. Just every day people. Stuff sent in by their boyfriends without their consent, or even drugging them with sleeping pills and recording themselves having sex with unconscious girls, and they couldn't get it down for years. And they wonder why they are being sued.

I did read something about that in the news (or maybe I just glimpsed the headline). If they've been doing what the lawsuit claims, (and they probably have), they need to go down.

Mind geek is asking the government to invoke section 230 which means that they would not be held responsible for content uploaded by 3rd parties.

Even if they didn't upload it themselves, how many times did these girls and their families ask for it to be taken down? How many times was it taken down and then put right back up the next day with a different URL? Mind geek employee have already admitted to the courts that this was a common practice.

That would be the equivalent of some of you people here uploading child porn on to this forum, and then me advertising that you could get child porn here if you joined Vicky at home. Then after Ignoring requests to remove it, and making a fortune off of it I would say say Hey it's not my fault I didn't upload it.

Does that sound right?

In today's world, platform providers should be responsible for the content posted on their sites. And if they're shown to be hiding and rehosting illegal content, then they're liable, seems to me.

I'd say, that art (after the artist who created it isn't alive anymore) should be public domain and everyone should be allowed to use it, but I hate Pornhub and this is obviously just another cheap publicity stunt.

In all seriousness, I just hope that someone told them that many art pieces feature minors and they at least won't use those. It's sad, but after everything they did in the past, that wouldn't even be a surprise.

By the way, how much do they pay for Asa Akira's participation?
Maybe it's just me, but it's super awkward that they do the most horrible things and she still cheers for them, like when she seriously stated that Pornhub has always been a fighter for sex workers' rights?
