Sorry what happened to u Zack but glad u were discovered by your neighbor. Just take your time and recover. Hope they catch the person or persons who is doing such horrible things to people.
As a martial artist, being that u said u have studied martial arts, I am very upset that u were outside with headphones on and not 1 ear open to listen to your surroundings!!! We have had 1 of our students to get attacked from behind and not hear anything coming cause he had headphones on! People are crazy every where and u have to be aware of your surroundings at all times. Even when u are home. Sometimes I get so cautious about things that I scare myself....hahah!

Generally my neighborhood is safe, plus it was curfew time (covid and all). So I foolishly dropped my guard I usually do not wear headphones outside my house/office for the same reason of being aware of your surroundings ..so I learned my lesson most brutal with that. But I was told that 3 other people were attacked the same way and it was reported to be more than one person, so I may not of stood a chance to defend myself who knows what other weapons they had.
That isnt even the saddest thing about it. I will talk about it later ...that cut is just to fresh at the moment.

I was attacked, drugged and robbed at home(they took a lot from me...im so f'king mad). I was in my porch late at night and I had on headphones listening to music . Not sure if it was one or more person(s), all I can remember was being grabbed ..then it was lights out. I was found by a neighbor and I was in a pile of volcanic ash ( the volcano in St. Vincent erupted days before and sent tonnes of ash to Barbados) . Whatever he/they drugged me with was a cocktail , my whole body was out of wack and the doctors put me in a coma for a week or so , I still was not out of it when they took me out of the coma, plus I inhaled a lot of volcanic ash so that took a while to recover.
I am very sorry for taking so long to reply, I also was going through something very tough which I will talk about soon, because no one should have to go through that...not the people I care about especially
I hope the police are able to catch whoever did this. I was in Barbados last year just before the covid shutdowns began and can't image anything like what you described happening there. It is such a peaceful place.
Take care and get well soon.
