I first started with Monty Python's Flying Circus in 7th grade. After all these years, its still one of my favorite sketch shows.

Agreed! Although, I don't remember how old I was when we first started watching.

Drawn Together's tribute to the chase scenes in Josie And The Pussycats and Scooby Doo.

I agree. Have to thank PBS for turning me on to Monty Python. Though I will admit I didnt always understand some of the British political humor. And Monty Python and the Holy Grail is still one of the funniest movies made

Monty Python aired while I was at university. It was a show I enjoyed in small doses, but not wholesale. I much preferred Fawlty Towers (which came out a few years later).

yeah this was in the mid 90's so some references were over my head too.

PBS was great for all those british comedies, it was also one of the only channels I got on my TV since we didn't have cable. I watched a lot of Allo Allo, Are you Being Served, Fawlty Towers and Red Dwarf.

Fawlty Towers and Red Dwarf are great. I also like To the Manor Born and The Vicar of Dibley but I think my favorite British Comedy series has to be Good Neighbors (in Britain it is called the Good Life. They changed the name here because there had been an American show called the Good Life 3 years earlier and thought it would be confusing). It's about a man named Tom Good who decides he has had enough of the rat race and decides to become self sufficient by turning his home and property in an upper class neighborhood into a small farm.

I loved both Fawlty Towers and Good Life. Felicity Kendal (Good Life) was a real cutie! There is one scene I always remembered, and I managed to find it:

I remember my buddy Mike in 8th grade had to keep reminding me for a few weeks before I started watching Monty Python's Flying Circus. That would been around 1975, which might have been their first airings in the US.

I also enjoyed Fawlty Towers, the Good Neighbors and The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin. Wow, nostalgia.

No one mentioned Keeping Up Appearances, or Waiting for God. I always thought Waiting for God was particularly good.

Since you mentioned Are You Being Served, which we also enjoyed watching, here is a bit of Mrs. Slocombe:

No, no. NOT Mrs. Bucket. Mrs Bouquet.

Doesn't sound like Waiting for God is too well known. But I think the a lot of people here could relate to the main characters of that show.

I saw one or two episodes of Waiting for God. I think I remember my opinion being that it was nice. It didn't make it onto the must-see list, though. I don't remember whether that was due to scheduling or that fact that I was still young and hadn't developed an appreciation for the bitter things in life.

No video here, but a funny story about a video. Vicky will love this.

I don't know, maybe 3 years ago now, I made a video clip for Vicky. She has a picture set modeling some LA Dodgers clothes a member sent her. So I decided to make a clip. I selected a bunch of pictures and set them to "L.A. Woman."

I posted the video to my Youtube account. marked it private, then posted the link here somewhere.
Yes, there were a few "revealing" pictures in there. How do you make a video clip of Vicky Vette without at least a few naked pics? Vicky responded something like, "I'd better go download that now, because Youtube will probably delete it." I personally wasn't worried, because it was marked private.

Fast forward 3 or 4 years. Maybe a month ago or two ago. Youtube changed some things. I don't remember specifics, but I think they deleted the "Private" category, then moved everything to either 'public' or one other category they have.

The end result? Yep! They found my video and not only deleted my clip and my access, they apparently permanently banned me. Apparently I can't get back in, even to open another account. I may try from a different email address, I don't know.

I can still watch and download videos, but have no access to options for members, such as designating a clip as a Favorite, or saving anywhere. So, they exposed my clip, then some PREVERT at Youtube had to watch it to see the nudity. It was in the middle, nowhere visible to anyone except by watching the clip.

My guess is, due to the fact that the thumbnail depicted Vicky with all of her (admittedly somewhat skimpy) clothes on, they assigned it to someone's Grandma to review. Once she got to the good parts, I imagine she had a heart attack and fell out of her chair. :lmao:

So, the end result is I've been banned from Youtube. Oh, the humanity :lmao:

So... Is there a way to watch that video, Walt? You know, for eh... scientific purposes of course.
Having too much sex can cause memory loss. I read that on page 69 in a medical journal on the 4th of May in 2008.

Yeah, I know your research, Liz, I do have it here. Did a cursory search a while ago and couldn't find it. We can't post videos on the forum (straight posts, like pictures.) But I will find it and finger a way to get it out.
