Well tested positive for Covid earlier this week this oddly my 2nd time getting on the same week as last year like wtf lmao this might be a lil much and if your eating while reading this stop now this is your only warning!!! I tested positive on Tuesday had the chills n body aches and a fever all Tuesday night only and Wednesday through today (Saturday) I’ve been shitting 💩 and puking 🤮 non stop like no joke I’m literally having to run to the bathroom every hour cause I can’t hold anything down this suxs. I had to go to the urgent care yesterday morning and they told me there is really nothing they could give me cause it’s best to let it’s run it’s course but they gave me something to help with the nausea which helps now if I could just not have a leaky asshole lmao. Anyways hope anybody that reads this is taking care of themselves and you guys seriously go get vaccinated I got both vaccine shots n the booster which have helped a shit load I couldn’t imagine how bad I’d be if I didn’t and if your gonna go out wear a mask yes it’s not gonna stop you from getting it but it’s gonna limit your exposure to it and possibly help from passing it on.

Gee, can only wish you well, DJ. Stay in bed wrapped up, stay warm and follow Dr.s. orders. I'm sure this isn't fun. Hope you get beyond this and back with us quickly.

With your symptoms, I wonder if you got both Covid AND the flu?

Hope you're feeling better soon, DJ. Good on you for taking all the right precautions.

Partially related to covid (especially if you've been affected in secondary ways - economically and so forth)....this is just my advice, may not work for all.

They call that Flurona when you get both at the same time. How lovely! I'm so sorry sweetheart!

Hope you feel better. I got it the day before Thanksgiving a few months ago. It really really sucks. I spent 4 days in bed unable to eat or drink, lost 30 lbs in a little over a week.

I also was up to date on all my shots. Not sure if that made it worse or it was a good thing I had my shots.

Debatable. Just before the larger community recognized covid, a co-worker with a persistent cough breathed into my face as we were doing the paperwork to close the lab. This would be in February 2019. I caught a mild cold right after that. He said it couldn't be from him, as he had his cough for over five weeks at the time and the doctors didn't know what it was. My thought was that, since I hadn't seen him in much longer than 5 weeks, he could still be the one that got me sick. And breathing directly into someone's face while you are sick with a cough seems like pretty close contact. On the other hand, it didn't hit me as hard as it did him. I had given him some of my favorite cough drops (Olbas lozenges), so at least his breath was nice and minty.

Then, I had another very light cold in December 2020. That was post retirement so I have nobody to conveniently blame it on.

I recently saw this video on the effects of Vitamin D:

There is also a couple that do a podcast on various matters of science. Understandably, a lot of their recent stuff involves covid. Here are three podcasts involving Vitamin D.

They have many more videos covering all sorts of stuff at:

As for myself, I supplement quite a bit, in my opinion. I was trying to manage Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), so I was already taking the Vitamin D, some Omega-3, and a fairly good multivitamin when I first got sick. I don't remember what the mix was when the second cold came along. The store where I get my supplements stopped carrying my chewables, so I switched to some pills which have even more good-looking stuff. Also, I added another supplement to the regimen that I think I became aware of sometime after the second cold. It contains more Vitamin D, but also Vitamin C and zinc. Also, Elderberry extract, which reminds me of my father.

I think I've never had it.
I've taken about one quick test a week (eversince they've been available) pretty much every week for the past year and they were all negative so far.
Having too much sex can cause memory loss. I read that on page 69 in a medical journal on the 4th of May in 2008.

I havent had it that I know of. I've never had any symptoms. Tested twice. Once at the very start of the pandemic I broke out in hives for some reason. One of the medications they wanted to give me (prednisone I think) they said had a negative effect if you have covid so they have to test you for it before they will prescribe it. Test came back negative, but by since that took a week I was already over the hives and didnt need it. The second time was last year because my sister had symptoms so I tested to see if I had to quarantine and miss work. We both were negative.
Keep smiling. It makes people wonder what you are up to :-)

Never been tested but also never had any symptoms and have been generally isolating myself as best I can for two years now. And I was never one to go out much even before then. Hermit lifestyle for the win!

I am actually astounded I haven't had it yet, considering I work in retail and deal with the general public on a daily basis. One of my colleagues got it, and this was before my booster jab, and I still managed to dodge it. And here I am still testing myself at least twice week with negative results... so I must be doing something right. Perhaps it's all my anti-social behaviour? Haha!

In fact, while they are still free and available from the NHS I have been stockpiling the testing kits a little... just have to log on to the NHS website and request a box of 7 and they come next day.
