I have such mixed feelings on this subject. I have known lots of girls in my life who have gotten pregnant due to risky behavior and had abortions. Off the top of my head I can think of 2 porn girls that got pregnant on set. They were both on the pill and did creampie scenes.

Can you imagine what it would be like for these porn girls to be forced to carry these babies to term? Babies that are completely unwanted? While being pregnant it would destroy the girl's career and ability to work, how would they pay rent? Would they become destitute because of being pregnant? Then after giving it up, it would destroy her emotionally. A random father that she met one time on set? They never even tell them. What would happen to these babies?? Dump them into the Foster care system? There are some success stories for the Foster care system, but let's be honest, most of them end up being criminals and drug addicts /alcoholics. A lot will end up in jail. Trust me I know I've been through this and I know so many people who have also.

Nowadays all kids have the right to find out who their parents are, With computers and DNA testing and ancestry.com et cetera, the parents have no right to privacy whatsoever. So the porn mistake can grow up to be a nightmare that will hate you and haunt you forever.

As you may or may not know, I attend adult children of alcoholics meetings things regularly, and I have met so many women there who were raped by uncles and fathers, some of them did get pregnant and got abortions. I can't even imagine them being forced to carry these babies and give birth? Then what?

On the other hand abortions should not be so easy to get, that they end up being used as a form of birth control.

I think it needs to be controlled and counseling provided, & the father should have a say, but having an absolute ban on them in certain states, just means that girls who really need help will find it harder and more expensive to get help and the care they need physically and emotionally.

I'm also furious that a government can make decisions about my body. I don't think men can really understand this. So much for "The land of the free"? Not anymore. Maybe change it to "the land of the free -if you are a man".

I just think it would be a better world if we cared more about the born babies than the unborn ones. All these political activists spending time and money on unborn babies and once they are born they dont give a shit about them. Whatever happens to them after they are born, who cares, we saved their life! Great logic! Unwanted children are abused by everyone, physically, emotionally and sexually, by their families and by the entire broken down, corrupt, poorly run, out of money system that is supposed to be taking care of them.

Imagine what a difference it would make in children's lives if these "do-gooders" spent their time, money and energy on the babies who are already born? It would be a different country.

Right-on Vicky. This is all just so, so awful. This reversal of a legal precedent based on common-sense which the rest of the free-world has codified into law is nonsensical and absolutely stupid. America is meant to be the land of the free, a notion which is now a joke. Women are now second-class citizens - it's official! More particularly, as you say, this is of detriment to the poor; though potentially inconvenient for all women in states affected by this, those women with money living in areas affected by this will be able to afford to get around this. So, in short, it is a class issue. Supporters of this change cite that it is a win for democracy in that the approval/disapproval of abortion is devolved back down to state legislature which is consistent with the constitution (so the constitution needs to be updated I'd say) - several of which (US states) of course will make it illegal - some already have as soon as this judgement was passed.

Apparently the 3 new Republican judges on the supreme court previously vowed that Roe vs Wade was sacrosanct and that they would not vote in favour of repealing it. So they lied.

Totally agree with u Vicky!!!

I grew up in a loving household, but I knew I better not have sex before I got married. I started dating my ex in high school and his parents were more old fashion than mine, so no sex before marriage. I however knew girls in high school who were having sex and some of their parents I knew. If their parents had known, they would haven been punished big time and birth control was not that easy to get when we were in high school. I have known families who have adopted children and those children had gone thru things I would not want to see a child go thru. Thank goodness they were able to find loving families, but there are lots of kids out there already looking for loving homes. Turning over Roe vs Wade is only going to produce more kids who needs a loving home. Girls/young ladies/women should not have to have a baby they do not want!!! Accidents happen. Why is it the woman that has to have the baby and not the man have a vasectomy? The man plays just as a big part of producing babies as much as a woman. I know some of u guys are going to to say a woman has always had a choice to say no. That 12 year girl who is raped by her father/step father/uncle/cousin does not!! And now she has to carry that baby to term??? This whole situation has made me not want to have sex with men cause I don't want to risk being pregnant! Maybe someone should start producing charity belts again and only the women have the keys!!!

When I find some information in my area about abortion help, I will post it here.

So my next question is, if this woman who doesn't want this child does decide to raise it, as opposed to giving it up for adoption or dumping it somewhere, because that happens too, Is the father going to provide Child support?

I feel sorry for some guys, who just had a one night stand after picking up a girl in a bar, and now his life is destroyed also just because they made a mistake that the government has deemed they are not allowed to correct. So this poor man's life is now destroyed also because he is saddled with 18 years of child support for a child that he never wanted either.

Or are they just going to let the men get off without paying child support and leave all the burden on the woman?? I think that is probably how it will go based on history so far.
