Question, Vicky....ever thought about adding zip downloads for your photo galleries??

I'm sure that you are worried about theves poaching them for their own pay sites, but for those of us legit paying members who would love to keep some pics around for our wanking sessions, it would be a bonus to not have to cherry-pick and download single photos.

Just a thought and an idea...do with it as you will.

I'll think about it Anthony, I'm not happy with the format of the galleries anyway, I'm taking a photoshop course on mar 9 and I'll see if I can learn there how to customize them, or buy custom scripts to use for it.

Not that I'm upset by any means with the present setup of the galleries, but I do think that there could be a better way for those who may want to store whole galleries to u/load them in bulk rather than merely cherry-pick individual pics.

Hmmm..Photoshop classes??? They can do that for photos, too???

I'm more of a The GIMP man myself...nothing like free open source projects that actually work.

Interesting that while Kelly Madison's home site kellymadison.com uses zips, her Pornfidelity site doesn't....wonder why on that.

And considering that the NaughtyAmerica group just got bought out recently by Danni Home Media (who originally owned Danni's Hard Drive/HotBOX; it's not too surprising that they would add zip downloads to their particular sites.

It would be interesting to question the webmasters/webmistresses of those particular sites on why they allow or disallow zip downloads.

And yeah...that's a lot of porn....but the ladies mentioned are more than worth the cost. Just not all at one time, hopefully.

Vicky, I agree with Anthony on the zips. My only other comment would be something I mentioned a while back, and that is the size of the thumbnails. I would be happy if they were a bit bigger.

Another reason why some webmasters/webmistresses don't allow photo galleries to be zipped is because of hackers...If those unauthorized users get into a site... they'll start to use download program managers (I think that is the proper term) ...that can clean a site out of all new content within a hour and half. [It's based on different IP Addresses being hit under that same user/pass in a short time frame.]... That's why it's so important not to share usernames and passwords.

Also look at Tony's dissertation on "Site Download Limits in Effect" off this area, the "Vicky at Home" page.. for more infomation on the topic... as he knows this stuff better than I.....

Hey Walt, I remember when you brought that up before, photoshop default is 75 pixels for the thumbnails, I increased it to 100 when you mentioned it, is that still too small? lol... ok check the sets I just uploaded onto the GG pics page, I increased the thumbnails to 150, and I also customized the galleries a bit, got my blue background, and was able to eliminate the space at the top of each individual page so you don't have to scroll as much. The only way to get the full pic on each page would be to make the pics themselves smaller and I'm sure you don't want me to do that. Anyway you know that if you press F11 in explorer or mozilla you get fullscreen right?

Hey, Vicky, you know us blind old farts, I couldn't find my pecker without a magnifying glass and a pepper shaker. One thing might be your/my screen resolution. Mine is set at 1024x768. Are you maybe using 800x600? That by itself makes the pictures larger. I switched to 800x600 and could see the smaller thumbnails better. Then, the sets (4) you just posted, those thumbnails are great at the 1024x768 resolution. If that would work, that would be great.

Only one other problem, tho. I can't open any of them. The pointer doesn't change to the hand, and clicking on them does nothing.
However they end up will be great. I usually end up changing my resolution to 800x600 if I want to look thru the thumbnails. The small ones I have trouble with show up as 50x75 pixels, the last 4 with Rebecca come out at 100x150 (when I right-click and select 'properties') and, to me are much easier to see. (I don't think I've run across any of the thumbs at 100 (would that be 75x100?) I will go try to find some for comparison.)

Come on, chime in, guys. Am I gonna be the only lead-bottom "pitchin' a bitch" about the smaller thumbnails? :lol:

Hi Walter -

Click on the thumbnail and the picture should appear larger --- then save that larger picture to your pc. Most of the pictures that I've saved are coming over from Vicky's website either at 332x500 or 417x500 or 398x600 or 533x800 or 600x800. The largest being 800x600. These are the wide angle lensed pics. Some of Vicky's pictures from Danni Ashe's (when she was the Danni Girl of August 2006) site are 670x1024. Those pictures have been recreated at VAH. I believe that the second number represents how large the image is? Am I right? And all are jpeg images. And my screen resolution is also set at 1024x724.

To get into the photo galleries ... Now about that pointing hand with the index finger extended - that tells you a link is present. Left click on that (unless your left handed - then it would be right click) and the you should be in. Then to save the photo - right click on the the photo and then "save picture as..." will come up - determine what file you want to save to in "My Pictures" - this is in Internet Explorer 7. Under Internet Explorer 6 when saving a picture the blue floppy disk comes up - then save the same way under "My Pictures"

So sorry Walt, with all my playing around with photoshop galleries today, and "customizing" lol... I customized them so great, they don't work anymore!

I've learned a lot though, lol... I fixed them just now, should work fine, I deleted one line of code that I didn't know what was for, now I know, lol... just like when you get the DIY furniture from IKEA and put it together and have leftover parts so you throw them away, lol...

My screen is at 1024x768 (my desktop) same as you Walt, I think it's the most common setting nowadays. So I'll do the thumbnails at 150 from now on....

Sorry to bring bad news, John, you missed something on this one. I know all about the things you mentioned. I was talking about the thumbnails themselves being too small to see what they are. (They're pretty much actual thumbnail size on my screen.) For example, on the GG page, clicking on a particular picture takes you to the thumbnails for that set. For me anyway, in most sets those thumbnails are pretty small and I have trouble seeing the details of the pic. Instead of clicking on each and every one to see if I want to DL it, if I could see that thumb clearer, I could go thru easier to select the poses I want.
Click on one of the sets of Vicky and Rebecca. Then go back and click on the set with Lori Pleasures, and compare the sizes of the thumbs in the two sets.
If you go to the GG page, the first 4 sets are Vickys (gorgeous) sets with Rebecca in the hot tub (lucky damn hot tub.) Clicking on one of those 4 (larger) thumbs takes you to the entire set for that particular group. Those thumbs are a real nice size, but I cannot click on them to get the individual picture. That is where the arrow won't turn to a hand, indicating the presence of a link.
Is that better? Sometimes I have a hard time describing what I want to say.

Vicky, I see you posted while I was answering here. Thanks for the link fix and the thumb fix. The Rebecca Hot Tub thumbs are great. Thanks for caring enough to 'fix it' for The Old Guy.
