Scotland, Norway and England!

Feels so good to be traveling again! Didn't need our vaccine cards at all! (Which really irks me! My brother can go almost anywhere in the world, except to visit me! His wife did part 1 of the vaccine and it almost killed her, the doctor said if she got part 2 it would). As a result of that she is not allowed in the USA. )

Anyhow, Scotland is a breath of fresh air! Literally! Its 50's/60's in daytime the perfect weather for hiking up all these hills! It's built on7 hills! The old buildings and castles are spectacular!

Today we are touring Edinborough Castle, That's the one in the background in the picture.

Yesterday we did the underground tour of the vaults and heard all the grizzly stories..... It was very spooky! There is a witch's coven underneath one of the bridges.

People seem very happy here, everyone is super friendly, everything is very reasonably priced -way way cheaper than England, The food is fantastic, tasty and huge portions everywhere, except for the haggis and blood pudding. It's definitely not a good place to be if you're on a diet!

I've always dreamed of visiting Scotland. Seems like a great place to see. Not sure I could eat haggis tho. It just sounds horrible. Have you ever read what it is?

Great pictures, though. Europe has so much history. We only have 250 years over here in the colonies.

Today we visited that castle! (Edinburgh Castle, I've been spelling it wrong up till now!).

Then we hiked up to a place called Arthur's seat, which gives you a full 360 degree view of the city!

He was on a peak just below lol.... This mountain was kind of strange every time we turned a corner we thought we were at the peak and then realized it was just a little platform and there's another peak above, and then another above that!

Just realized our trip to the Highlands is tomorrow, so today we will take the train to Saint Andrew's which is where they invented golf!

I think that's how Disney manages the lines at Disneyland and Disneyworld. You think you are getting to the front of the line, and when you turn a corner you see there is more line.

Yes, apparently that is where Golf was invented? The clubhouse is very posh. The chairs outside say "members only" and you can't sit in them! It's soooo green! They have a castle also!
