I've been through that. Left my beer there and walked out, TWICE. Told the clerk there was a store down the street that didn't need to ask. (There was, lol.) They could kind of tell I was over 21 (like 73 - 75 or so, lol.) They don't even ask at the hard liquor store,

I try to be nice, but I find it hard to deal with obvious stupid. The law isn't that I must show ID to buy alcohol, the law is that I must be at least a certain age (usually 18 to 21) to buy. And, yes, I'm nice enough to nicely explain that I'm not upset with them, I'm upset with stupid rules. I understand that it's the stores policy, but they need to train their clerks, not penalize me.
