I know the 23andme.com database was hacked recently, and just last week I got an email from my old mortgage company saying that all of my personal and financial information along with thousands of others had been leaked and they were going to give me a free $99 membership to one of those monitoring sites...

Here's one for you. Are we simply becoming just too damn lazy? I mean, how freaking hard is it to show your ticket stub or your ticket on your phone?

Article in today's Sports section about "Facial recognition access" at MLB ballpark entrances. Seems like you post your picture on your ticket site. Then, when you get to the ballpark, you just walk past the camera. If it recognizes you ("Hey, Walt! Thanks for coming to the game today.") it let's you in. I don't know about no picture. I guess that if you walk past the sensor and the camera doesn't find your file, maybe a brick drops on you or something, I don't know.

But, what if the site gets hacked? Now, not only is your financial info out there, your PICTURE is out there, too. So, now, the scammers have EVERYTHING THEY NEED to prove that they are you, and to rip you off and clean you out.

So, go ahead. Send your picture ID, complete with the ID number, your name and address and your PICTURE out there. But don't worry. Those sites won't get hacked, will they?

"Do you want an EV?" On and on. People have been known to post those specific comments in order to gather your personal information. The more personal info you gather about someone, the easier it is to take over their identity. You learn to answer all their security questions, because they've told you your first pet's name, or where your parents were married, or your first school name (all common security questions.)

I have pretty much stopped random commenting on FB. I'll chat with my friends, but not much else. Same with any other platform I'm on. I don't respond to personal info anymore.

I keep a NSF (Not Safe for Work, something like that, lol,) on Tweeter and a non-porn acct on FB for 'friends' like people from high school or other early days friends/acquaintances. So I keep that one separate and clean. Well, I've got a WhatsApp and 2 or 3 others on my phone, whether I use them or not. - which isn't really alot. i don't gab much on them mostly here.

Well, maybe I'm back in line. I sure hope so.

I have had nothing but trouble with this VPN issue. I know I had one before and had no troubles. But, this time, no matter what I tried, I could sometimes get into the cam room, but maybe half of the time I could not. When my computer would first enter the room, I'd see a 'flash' of the room, but then the page would go dark. I could see the window, but not the model. I could see the chat (all dimmed out) but it wasn't moving. I even downloaded a clean copy of Chrome and did not sync it with anything. I wanted to try out a totally clean copy. I think it worked the first time I tried it. But, after that? Nope.

I finally decided that the only thing left was my VPN. I first bought SurfShark because it was cheaper. I basically liked it. But it's now obvious that SurfShark VPN was my problem. It didn't give me trouble anywhere else but the cam room. I went back to NORD (they had a sale, lol.) I know Nord is good. Now having disabled SurfShark and enabled Nord, the Cam Room works fine. So far (about a week) I have had NO issues getting into the cam room.

So, if you still have problems with the cam room and you have to use a VPN, try a different VPN.

I've been using Nord and have had no problems with the cam room so far. I the went with Nord because it was on sale too lol
