There's a location in California that looks an awfully lot like that - meaning the rocks have created a 'ring' like in your painting. Folks like to go there and ride the waves around the thing, lol.

Knew what it was right away. Thanks, Peter. Two thousand nine hundred and ninety-six people will thank you today for remembering them.

Thought I’d share something a little here today. Something out of my usual style and technique, I have had a hard, hard life, not something I wish to dwell upon but a while back I started drawing my demons and this is the monster that lives in my spine that makes me a very not nice man. A demon I fight insanely hard to exorcise it all the time. It also looks like my father. I wonder if they’re connected

(Edited post: Several unwanted pics showed up in Highwulf's post. He asked me to delete them and I did. I also cleaned up the posts a bit since they were now irrelevant. I left this post because I described how a poster can edit his post.)
I can remove all of the pics you don't want there. Or, actually, you can, too.
1. Display your post.
2. Click the pencil (Edit) button at the top right.
3. Scroll down to the bottom. Look for "Options" and "Attachments" on the left. Select "Attachments." A window will open showing your attachments. Just click "Delete" on the ones you want to remove.
4. Click "Submit" and you're done.
This job becomes a little easier if you will show your attachments when you first add them.
Thanks to ErikB for this reminder: Note: the pencil-edit part only works within the first hour of you posting something. (Walt - if anyone needs help with any of this, don't hesitate to contact me.
When you add a file, you will see a "Place Inline" and a "Delete File" button. If you will place your marker in your message where you want the picture to show up, then click the "Place Inline" button, it will place your file marker onto your edit page where you want it. This will make it easier to place your picture exactly where you want it, and will also make it a bit easier to edit if you need to. Here's an example:
Here is a picture of a random somewhat attractive woman who I've never seen before and have no clue who she is, that I have placed in the middle of my message. Lots of flexibility here.
Let me know if you'd like me to handle it, Highwulf..

This is one of my recent ones.
And thanks for the heads up about how to fix the issue with my prior post.
It may be a little too late for me to do it now but as a admin you may be able to. If you could remove all the attachments NOT a scary looking face would be great.
Hopefully this attempt at an inline works too.

Great job Walt. Will try and keep that technique in mind for future reference

I like that one. It has a certain serenity to it.Highwulf wrote: ↑March 14th, 2024, 1:36 pm This is one of my recent ones.

The first few times/days/efforts are always going to be oddball, Highwulf. Looking at that vs our later shows us just how far we have come.

That looks like a Disney character I've seen somewhere. Being 17 or 18, do you think that might have been your inspiration?
I need to get back to my hobbies. I stopped a while back. But I only sit here playing games on my computer and phone and watching TV. Oh, and I'll go make another cup of coffee one or two times a day, lol.
I'm gonna start today, set aside an hour and work on my project. I have several waiting. I need to get busy.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, especially you Vicky. I really hope you can start working on your art as a hobby. And the dragon wasn’t Disney but I can see the similarities between them. Getting it reprinted so I can redraw over it so it’s easier to see.
Today’s piece is a dual portrait of my aunt and uncle together. They passed away within a year of each other but thankfully we had access to a photo of them when they were alive and happy. I am genuinely proud of this work. A single portrait is hard work so doing two together is really hard.
Not the only one like this, I have done a few since but this really was a boon to my confidence. Hope you enjoy.
Btw this is a photo of the original sketch, not a reprint

That is really good. It shows emotion, without being sappy or trite.Highwulf wrote: ↑March 26th, 2024, 9:27 am Thanks everyone for the kind words, especially you Vicky. This is a sketch of my friend Trevor. When he was a child he had a tumour over his left eye, hence the thing on his face
