Interesting. Seems to result in an image that is produced through a process called solarization in black and white photography.Highwulf wrote: ↑October 14th, 2023, 11:33 am This one was a interesting challenge as I have never worked on it before. I call it inverse drawing. You cover the paper with charcoal and you “Draw” by rubbing out the chalk revealing the paper and when you finish you have a “normal” drawing… *sigh* I really didn’t explain that well. Sorry.
my first aurora art project & other members work?
Yeah we did a whole month on photography, couldn’t come up with the name there though. It’s a technique I’ve used only one other time. You need a lot of practice, confidence and skill to do it well

I've never tried it. If I ever get set up for b&w photography again, it is something I want to experiment with.
Lol Walt. A charcoal negative would be one of the best ways to think about it. I’m glad you like it.

Our usual model Kiara here in her chair here. This was a little harder than it may eventually have appeared once finished. There were things going on in the background, internally and otherwise but I am happy with how it turned out

I didn’t know about the small settlement in south of England called Canada but I love in the middle of the new forest. It’s actually the largest natural woodland in the entirety of England.
I really love the Canadian landscape and likewise the scenery of the new forest all around so this lot of paintings done round the same time I named Canadian New Forest set
