We are thinking of changing the websites to streaming only. We just can't keep up with the stealing. It costs money to pay people to do the DMCA takedowns, sometimes more than what some of the sites even make. It's just ridiculous. A day after a website update the content is available on the file lockers and sharing sites. The girls do not want to update the sites anymore. It's just like giving away free content. The guys on OF tell them, we don't need to join your site or pay for the scenes on OF because we can get them free.

The only clips that sell on OF are the ones that do not ever get posted on the websites. The girls that I shoot content with tell me they do not want me to post the content on my site, they are trying to stipulate in our model releases that we are shooting for OF and LF and MV only. If I post our shared content trade onto my website and it gets posted everywhere for free, then she can't make $$ off of it either.

I have tried to hold out as long as I can, I know you guys like to download and I know you are not the ones uploading it to torrents, but I don't have a choice anymore. I want to keep my site going, but if no one will shoot with me it's gonna be hard!

Giving you a few days notice so you can download your favorite stuff before we remove the download buttons.

I don't like it at all, but I fully understand. Remember, I'm a hundred. I grew up in a time when people could trust each other. But, now? Just think of all of the most popular shows on TV these days. They're all about lying, cheating, back-stabbing and stealing. The biggest cheater gets a million dollars. And people are not teaching their kids how to treat others with courtesy and respect. So we've ended up with a society that believes that cheating and stealing and back-stabbing is the way to go. Others are useless. Cheat them all you can. Steal as much of their money as you can get your hands on.

I do wish I could say that most of all this comes from overseas. But I know that at least some of it originates right here in the good old U.S. of A.

Its your site and your business. I don't begin to understand the business model, but you've been successful long enough that I'm sure you're making the right decisions for you.

I'll remain a fan no matter what. Do what you gotta do.

I understand you have to do what is best for you to make money. What does it mean as for as being a member of one of the sites? Other than not being about able to download things?

Nothing changes really Zany, you can stream all the videos you want all day long! As long as you are a member. You just can't download the videos anymore... this will stop the people who join for $19.95, download 1000 videos over the month, using up all our bandwidth, then quit and upload them all to tubesites. They wait a few months, then join again for the month and do it all again. We will do all the sites one by one making them streaming only. I just have to go through the verbage on each site one by one and remove any reference or promise of download, cause I don't want visa chargebacks.

Any idea what they get out of that? Or is it the tube sites themselves doing this?

They get to be big shots, heroes on that system. We have written to the tubes and asked them to remove the user accounts that keep uploading our stolen vids but they refuse.

In a lot of cases it is the torrents themselves. They put a low res version out for free then charge if you want to download the hi rez or they charge $9.99 or 15.99 per month to download all content at high speed.

You have always been a leader in the industry and one step ahead. I think this makes perfect sense.

I was wondering when this would become necessary. I know it's not easy and will mean lots of work updating everything. I know you are only doing this because you have to, and I fully support your decision. Hugs from NC.

You just do what you need to do. We understand. Its sad that it has to be done but I'm sure you wont lose anyone over it.

So I made the change yesterday, and I put up a video yesterday and so far it's not stolen! I don't see it yet on the tubes, file lockers and torrents! Usually it would already be stolen by now.

There are some of us who have been downloading and saving your clips for years as long-time members, and would never, ever reupload your content to any other sites out of respect for your hard work in creating such content. It's so unfortunate that the idiots and thieves who don't respect your property have to make it so the law abiders are punished. Nevertheless, you gotta do what you gotta do to protect your assets. Drop that BAHLOCK; we'll understand.

"BAHLOCK", btw, is my glossy version of saying "block". I stole it from Mika Tan when she was active on Twitter back in the day.

Well this was a failed experiment. At first I thought it was slowing down the stealing a little bit, but in the end, once one or two places get it, then they all steal from each other and then it's everywhere again.

It's not worth it to me, to inconvenience my members and legitimate users and it's not even helping the piracy so I'm going to turn everything back on today

I'll just keep on sending out the dmca notices, and remove the search engine results Pages for the ones who ignore the dmcas - there's nothing else I can do. I have to make myself look at it as free advertising otherwise it will just drive me crazy and I'll be miserable.

Sorry to hear that, Vicky. Theft is so fucking big in today's world. I seriously wonder (worry?) where the fuck this world is going and how much longer it will last.

I'm not worried for me, I'm an old fart. I've had my good life. But I'd sure love for my son and all of my young friends have a continuing free and happy world.

I'm thinking that the problem is that it is still too easy for anyone with a downloader app to override the block and download vids. Also, those who download just to store for personal viewing only (NOT for uploading back to tube sites for "free" viewing) can way too easily get hacked by thieves who then copy their collection over and then upload to "free" tube sites.

Go after the tube sites directly with DMCA notices and that could help resolve the issue.
