Would someone try to use the "Newmedia" link to try and post a Youtube clip? I've tried 4 or 5 times now. And it has stopped working for me.

Well, you have good taste in test videos! I first heard Orange Blossom Special on a CD I bought called "Appalachian Stomp". This sounds pretty much like the same recording, but they cut most of the discussion of fat people off of the Appalachian Stomp version. Not all of it, though.

OK, this is getting a little weird.

But I haven't changed any of that. Yes, I have an ad blocker, but everything was working up until about 5 or 6 days before I started this topic. I'm pretty sure I shut off all of my extensions and checked. But I'll do that again.

Things can change in strange ways. There is a comic I check every day called "Sheldon". A while back, it started posting mostly-blank pages. I turned off Style Sheets and I could read the comic. Turning off Style Sheets for this page became a habit. Then today I could read the comic again with Style Sheets still active. It probably would have worked the whole time if I had turned on Javascript for the page, but as long as I can get away without doing that, I will.

I was sure I had turned off all my extensions and checked. But I just did that again and I can see all the clips. Well, that's good, but now I've got to go turn them all on one at a time and check, 'til I find the right one. I'll start with the Ad Blocker, Vicky. I'll report which it was once I find it.

I've discovered at least one extension that was doing damage. First I rebooted my computer. This is to clear out any left-over garbage. I went though settings. I turned off extensions one at a time. After each switch, I checked the forum. With them all off, It still didn't work. So I rebooted again. Then I remembered that, when you refresh the page, you download a fresh copy that overwrites whatever previous page on your screen.

So, I'd turn off an extension, then refresh the page. Then I'd go to the forum page and refresh that. When I turned off one related to my security software (Malwarebytes) then refreshed this page, the clips came back up. The extension is called Browser Guard. So it obviously guards against that nasty old Forum, lol.

For a fresh start you could uninstall your browser and install a new one.
You can uninstall extensions in windows settings.

I may be wrong, but I think the only extension you need is an adblocker, everything else isn't useful/ sometimes potentially dangerous and messes with your system?

I've tried downloading a new copy of my browser. But if I do, because of my account, I guess, it downloads a new copy. But I have to sign in. Once I do, it downloads all my data, including any issues present. I certainly can't start all over. So, I've turned off that extension until I figure it out, lol. I try to only DL extensions from good sources, Liz. But, considering all that's out there, who knows what we might be missing.

For example, I have a password manager, LastPass. It is very helpful to me and works fine. There are a 2-3 others that I really trust, and 2 or 3 I could probably live without. But Malwarebytes is my security app. I've used it for years and highly trust it. If something DOES get through, their tech. dept. will stick with you until you get your problem resolved.

But the "mini-app" that was causing my problems here is a part of that. It's called "Browserguard," and is supposed to protect my browser. I see there is an "Allow" list, so I am trying to investigate all this.
