Missed it. But with the cloud cover, there would not have been anything to see :(

I saw nothing! I thought at least the sky would have gotten dark here in Florida but I don't think it did?

I saw a map projecting the degrees of darkness, but I don't remember where. I was able to look this up, though: https://www.space.com/annular-solar-ecl ... active-map The first map I saw gave me the impression that folks on the East coast were just going to be out of luck. The second video on the page I found didn't even bother to list the Eastern time zone.

They went all nuts over it here even tho our moon only crossed a small portion of the sun. There's supposed to be a much better one maybe next March? That one will run from something like Baja California to Maine. So it should go over El Paso. But that one will also miss Florida. Sorry, Vicky.

(They have hotels in El Paso in case anyone wants to come watch it, lol.' Good Mexican dinner, my treat!)

EDIT _ Decided to look it up. April 8th, 24. It'll miss El Paso by about 400 miles. I'm just crazy enough to drive out there.

It was raining so no partial eclipse for me last weekend. I'm already making plans for the full eclipse coming up next spring on April 8th. If you get the chance to go, it is definitely worth it. I went to see the the one in 2017 and it was a very wonderful (almost spiritual) experience. I have three potential trips to the area of full occlusion. I will wait until a couple of weeks out and see what the extended forecast is for each area (Erie, PA, Indianapolis, Dallas) and then choose.

Yes, it's a pretty fantastic event. If I go, I'll probably head east on I-10 toward San Antonio. I can stop anywhere out in the desert and not have to deal with crowds. No, I don't expect masses of people gathering, I just mean the larger cities, like Dallas. I like Dallas, but if I can avoid the traffic, I like that better, lol.

I"ve seen a full lunar eclipse before, but never a solar. So that's good motivation to go.

Niagara Falls is in the path of totality for next April and that could be a fun spot to view the eclipse. But its a 7 hour drive and the hotels will be all sold out. However, my daughter has a farm just south of Ottawa, and the path of totality is only a few minutes south of her place.

Sure, you used to be from Montreal, and Montreal is right in the path of totality. I imagine the top of Mount Royal will be packed.

(For our unilingual friends, Montreal = Mont Real is Mount Royal in French).

I can respond with a very fluent "Je ne parle pas Francais" (I don't speak French) in response to "Parlez vous Francais?" And then I'm off the hook.

Are you sure you didn't mean to say "Uranus eclipse my face"?
