Technical Issues - SOLVED

Has anyone besides me had trouble viewing the archives and videos?

This occurs on both Safari and Edge. On Safari, the archives loads a small blank screen but never plays. The videos show the spinning circle but never load. In Edge, I get "The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported."

My passwords work as I can see or download still photos. It could be me, but this has been happening for the last few weeks.

Any help or suggestions are welcome!

Can you do me a favor and send me some screen caps? The full screen showing the exact URL at the top when it is stalling? Send to vicky@vickyvette.com does this happen on your phone? Or on your laptop or desktop or tablet?

Is this happening to anyone else?

I just opened a couple of clips from the archives in MS Edge (which I hate) and it worked fine.

Sent the email. Thanks Walt for checking. This is going to end up being something stupid. For that I apologize.

Alydar, you've got no exclusive claim on "stupid." I'm an expert, LOL.

I am currently having trouble with Chrome. Most pages come up with a black background with white lettering. Changing the display option will change my home page, but none of the others. All of the pictures come up as negatives. I have no clue what caused this. One day it somehow just changed. I'm guessing that I hit a bad key or combination of keys to cause this.

Now, at least some pages, if I'm on a page long enough (seems to be a minute or more,) the background will turn white and the pictures turn normal. But as soon as I change the page, it reverts to the negative display.

I even went through the whole replacement ritual. Close down my computer for 1 minute. Restart it and go through the program removal process, removing everything. Turn off the computer for 1 minute (basically, the settings inside of your computer don't just "blink out" like a light when you hit the switch. There are actually components inside that "slowly" drain their power (bleed, off.) That's why, when you try to reset many electronic items (a cable box is one,) the instructions will say to leave it off for a minute. If you do NOT do that, then, upon reboot, your equipment can pick up some of those settings which haven't cleared yet. (I'm a radio electronics technician, so I know how this works. I don't call myself an expert, but I hopefully remember a few things, lol.)

In any case, as soon as I D/Led and installed a new version, then signed in, it just acted the same. I think that means that the problem is in my profile somewhere. Once I get home, I'll try to get some answers out of Google.

Hope my info helped. I don't know if Vicky has made any changes yet.

Maybe change Windows settings?
Windows+i>Personalization>Colors>Choose Your Mode>Light

Thanks Liz!
@Alydar, I did send your screencap to Mojohost. Waiting to hear back from them. Does anyone else have issues playing videos and /or cam archives besides Alydar?

If no one else is having trouble, I'm going to feel like the "special needs" member...

Thanks for the hint, Liz. Those settings seem to be spread out in 3 or 4 places. The link you sent is a new one for me, lol. When I click change the theme (and there's one other that seems to be applicable,) the front page seems to change, but the others don't. Still "negative" pictures and black background. Everyone makes it so dang hard to find actual human help. I guess I'll keep trying.

Walt does this happen everywhere? Or are you saying it's specific to VNA websites? If it's everywhere it could be a hardware issue, faulty video cable or the video card about to go on the fritz?

Sorry, Vicky, I wasn't specific enough. It's everywhere, any site. But the thing is, it's only my Chrome browser. Edge (which I hate) seems to be fine.

Same page, different browsers:
.
Edge
VNA Edge.jpg
.
Chrome
VNA Chrome.jpg
.
Chrome Front Page
Chrome Front Page.jpg
.
When I click a link on that page, this comes up. I have tried numerous display settings and a few others. The front page will change according to the option I select, but these succeeding pages don't.

This isn't a VNA issue, If anyone thinks they can help, I'll start another thread. My plan at the moment is waiting until I get home to dig deeper into it. One thing I just thought of is, what about another computer? So, when I get home, I'll fire up another and see what I get there.

Ok I need everyone to test please!

We made changes in the cdn! Btw Alydar do you have Norton anti-virus installed on your computers? Mojo suspects that Norton or some other virus checker is stopping the videos from playing for some people.

Since we made changes i need everyone to clear cache and check that we didn't mess anything up please!

I don't seem to be having any problems, other than the change where the download icons in the Bonus pages now launch players instead. To actually download, you have to launch a player and then select download from the player's controls. Not really a problem, just a change in behavior.

Devuan Linux operating system, Vivaldi browser.

Yeah I'm still trying to get that part fixed, they are not giving it Priority because you can still download. But I'm on their ass you better believe it!
