#1 applies to my dog as well. More than once I've forgotten and left some food out here at night. Bailey will get up in the night and I have to let her out. Then I go back to bed. When she comes back in, she'll push the bedroom door open and come in. Then I get up and go close the front door.
So my guess is that she comes in and first noses around until she finds the food. Maybe she smells it. So I get to wake up in the morning to find an empty dish or bowl, lol. I need to take better care with that. I'm guessing that what I eat is OK for her, but I don't like her eating all that extra food. Bless her heart.
