I have so many pics to post, but my internet has been terrible! Takes 5 min to load a page on the forum! Worse yet, if I'm on cell service my mobile connects through Texas and I can't get on at all!

Today we we went to theatro Antiquo in Taormino. We are staying nearby. It's called that because the shape of the mountain is like a bulls horns.

The theatre was built in 300 AD and it was originally built by the Greeks for plays, later on the Roman's took ot over, built onto it, and it was was used to sacrifice animals and have gladiator fights.

These are all from Valley of the temples. Remind me in a cam show to tell you the snafoos of listening to Google Maps directions trying to get there!

Beatiful pictures, Vicky. When I see pictures of all those old places I try to picture what the whole thing would have looked like with all the surrounding buildings that must have been close, and all the people walking around there.

I didn't know Malta was part of this trip. It is one of three top spots in my bucket list of places to visit.

Enjoy. And bring home lots of happy memories.

Great pics! I can't have wheat any more, so I will have to content myself with looking at the juicy tomato side dish.

Interesting pants. They look almost like jean material. Is that an external cargo pocket? If so, why so deep? Is it for your machete so you can tromp through the jungle?

Great pics., Vicky. Looks like, you are having a great trip. Envy you, as being interested in ancient history, would love to see these ancient sites, as well.

Yes, how can you properly savour a hot dog if you're being constantly interrupted by the goings-on of a baseball game??!!
