Broken and missing videos

Hi,
Not sure where to post as there doesn't seem to be a tech support section. I used the tech support link at the bottom of the stars website, but that doesn't seem to get any response.

I was looking on Jelena's website and found a few videos that don't play correctly, and downloading the file to play locally also has issues. Some videos play but are cut short from their original runtime. I don't know if they got lost in the migration to the new network, but is there a way to get the old videos?

Hey, Beninca, hello and welcome to the forum. Great to see you posting, even if it IS a problem. Vicky, of course, is our resident "fixer," lol, but I'll see what I can do.

I would ask if you would give me some specific dates of videos you question. Also, did you have trouble with all you tried or only some of them?

Jelena's pretty, isn't she? She hung out with us a few times. Pretty and fun lady.

Camping in France Part 1, from August 13th 2010, the runtime should be 15:27, but is only 36 seconds.
Lick My Lolli BTS Part 2, from October 13th 2011, runtime should be 9:14, but it cuts out at 20 seconds.
Barbed Wire Heart, from May 6th 2011, the runtime was 10:07, but now it is only 3:27.
At Home Laser Hair Removal, from May 4th 2011, the runtime should be 3:22, but it's only 1:29.
By Myself, from May 20th 2011, the runtime should be 8:35, but it's only 7:16.

There should be 26 "Video Diaries", but only 5 are still there, the rest have disappeared.

Most of the live show recordings have anomalies with the playback, like the image will be slow-mo and desync with the audio, but the G/G Live Show with Maggie from 02/22/14 posted on February 26th 2014 is a broken file that will not play past the 25 minute mark.

I gotta tell ya, this is the first time that any of Jelena's old videos have been brought up as having any issues with them. I'm usually working on archives, but once in a while I do some work on the ladies websites. I'll see if Vicky can give me access to her site and I'll poke around to see if there is a solution.

I checked the Jelena Jenson Archive entries and saw a problem that I had found earlier in several other models' Archive collections too.
Chat videos from before late October to November 2015 all have problems, typically loss of sound after a few minutes, other ones have sound and video that are not synchronous anymore (usually either fast sound and normal video, or normal sound and slow video).

E.g. (the ones I have checked, with Google Chrome (with Windows 10)):
- Jelena Jenson: ok from 2015-12-13 on - faults for 2015-10-13 (ok sound, too slow vid.) and earlier;
- Vicky V.: ok from 2015-12-06 on - faults for 2015-11-22 and earlier;
- Julia Ann: ok from 2015-11-11 on - faults for 2015-10-13 pts.1&2 (non-sync. audio & video) and 2015-10-07 (Audio ok(?), too slow vid.) and earlier;
- Sara Jay: ok from 2015-10-15 on - faults for 2015-10-04 (non-sync., slower vid.) and earlier;
- Rita Daniels: ok from 2015-10-27 on - faults for 2015-10-13 (non-sync., slower vid.) and earlier;
- Samantha Grace: ok from 2015-11-21 on - faults for 2015-10-08 (ok sound, very fast vid., then static pic.) and earlier;
- Kelley Cabbana: ok from 2015-10-21 on - faults for 2015-10-14 (ok sound, too slow vid.) and earlier;
- Mandy Tyler: ok from 2015-10-31 on - faults for 2015-10-10 (ok sound, too slow vid.) and earlier;
- Maggie Green: ok from 2015-10-17 on - faults for 2015-10-10 (ok sound, too slow vid.) and earlier.

Still possible to see very nice Ladies, but one has to 'disconnect ones hearing from what is seen.

So, it seems, something happend in the Archive towards the end of 2015 ...

I'm wondering if the issues on all of the camshow archives are when we had to convert everything from Flash files to MP4 so that they could stream and even be usable? There's no way to watch flash files anymore. I know we ran a huge batch conversion. It ran 24/7 for about a week because there were so many files. I remember asking everyone to double-check them and see that everything was working before we deleted the original Flash files.

As for any other files that are not cam show related, these are the files that Jelena uploaded herself. When she set up the site with us she did all of her own processing. I have written to her and asked her if she has any of these original files so she could reupload them, but so far she has not replied. She doesn't update her site anymore.

I suspected, the problem might have such a cause. (I still find it kind of funny/surprising that the errors are of differing types.)

Although, all of the browsers I have in use can't properly play the oldest videos (before late in 2015), I found that my preferred browser, Firefox, struggles additionally with some newer videos too: The sound vanishes at some (fixed) time before the end of the video and stays off to the end. The time these stops occur vary between the videos seemingly 'accidentally.
Chrome and Edge (the ones I tested too on these videos) still reproduce the whole camshows satisfactorily:

E.g., for Vicky's Archive :
With Firefox I get problems with videos from fall 2015 until about June 2016. The newest one, of the checked ones, that loose sound before the video end is from 2016-08-20 (no. 17553), where sound disappears at 53.5 mins, 5 minutes before the 'official' video end.

Of course - problem is avoidable : Use another browser (I tested with Chrome and Edge and the sound losses didn't occur).
