I don't mind talking about what is going on as I age. In fact I like it. My thinking is that things that I experience, everyone will experience at some point. So my thinking is that I'm letting you know what to expect, what happened to me when I went through it - like my knees, for example, Or whatever. So this is one. I sometimes experience problems when swallowing.
So many things that are a part of our daily human lives that happen and we never know it. They just work and we move on. We eat, we drink, we swallow, and we go play some more. Well, sometimes I have problems with swallowing. You may know that, when we swallow, our food doesn't just "shoot" down to our stomach, like dogs and cats. Actually, it enters your esophagus, which signals your throat muscles to squeeze and start pushing your food down. Your food doesn't just 'fall' due to gravity. (you'd choke if you swallowed while lying down.)
So what it feels like is that my throat tightens up under the food, so it doesn't go down. I can feel it sitting there and s-l-o-w-l-y sliding down. If I then drink something, that liquid will push things on down.
Well. the basic thing, the basic event was making me wonder. I DID smoke for about 25 years, but quit when I was 45. So I did wonder about cancer. But my tests revealed that after LUSTING ALL OVER the FASCINATING Vicky Vette
Double contrast esophagram dated 9/30/2025.
Preliminary fluoroscopic evaluation is unremarkable. The diaphragmatic motility is normal.
Subsequently a double contrast esophagram was performed which demonstrated normal swallowing mechanism. Esophagus is normal in caliber, location, motility and mucosa. EG junction demonstrated no strictures or herniations. Under fluoroscopy there was no evidence for gastroesophageal reflux.
(Me) No, I don't understand all them big words, either. But I DO understand "is normal," and "no evidence", lol.
