Happy Pi day to all our mathematically inclined friends. Personally I'm more inclined towards pie so I think I will pick up a key lime pie after lunch lol
Keep smiling. It makes people wonder what you are up to :-)

Thats only in the United States. Unfortunately, April doesn't have 31 days, so the rest of the world misses out.

Still, I think I'll pop into the Scottish Irish store and pick up a steak and kidney pie. To be followed by a slice of Saskatoon berry pie with custard.

Vanilla Custard Meringue - hmmmm, Sounds delicious. I thought Lemon Meringue when I saw the picture (which I've been craving recently) but this sounds pretty good.

I grew up on Pecan Pie. In Texas, that's what you do, lol. We had a pecan tree in the front yard of our home in Temple. Each year, us 3 kids would collect the nuts and take 'em inside. That night we'd have a Pecan Shucking party. We had all the tools. Then we'd eat pecan pie for a couple weeks, lol.
I can resist everything except temptation.

As a kid living in south Florida we had a mango tree in the back yard. Every season more mangos than we could eat. We'd give mangos away. Some of the neighbors would get bags of them and bring us back mango preserves.

The vanilla custard meringue sounds interesting. I've never been too keen on pecans.

I didn't care for walnuts until fairly recently - last 5 years, mainly. Lots of good benefits in walnuts. So a while ago I started eating them with my morning oatmeal. I add cinnamon and honey, too. Pretty good meal.

Between El Paso and Las Cruces (~30 miles) there are several pecan orchards. So there's no shortage of pecans here, lol.

I like walnuts - provided someone else has done the shelling.

I just buy them shelled anymore. Halves and pieces are both good - I can chop up the halves, lol.
