You laugh, but as clueless as I am about technology, the internet, etc., there was a very real possibility that trying to sign up again was going to take 18 days, a miracle, and a Constitutional Amendment to get accomplished. I can't even sign into a cam show on my phone without giving myself an aneurysm.

DK, you do not have to cancel your subscription in the middle of your term. If you need to cancel, you can, but your term still runs until the end of whatever you paid for. In other words;

You buy a 3-month subscription on the 13th of July. That means your term runs until the 12th of October. If you decide to cancel on the 20th of August, you can. But you still have full access until the 12th of October. Set yourself a reminder for that date. Then, as the time gets close, you can then decide if you want to renew. If you do, you're good to go.

If you should cancel and then come back, (it happens,) Your previous log-in is still there waiting for you. You just pick up where you left off.

the CCBill folks are saying I can't subscribe again until the first one runs out. Why I waited until the last minute to ask, I have no idea! Anyway, they're going to fast track the cancellation so I can renew today or tomorrow,

This sounds like you forced them to immediately close your account and renew it. If that's true, that means you lost whatever free access remained on your previous account. There was no reason to do that. If it happens again, let your account go until it runs out naturally, then renew. (I've been thru this, having to cancel, and then changing my mind.)

Whatever term you've pad for, whether one month or 6 or 8 or 12 or whatever, you have full and complete access, regardless, until the end of that term.

I had two days left on my old subscription. But I first cancelled it way back in the middle of the month (when I ran into some unexpected financial headaches) and kept using it right up until the actual cancellation was imminent. What made me decide to ask them about it rather than simply waiting for it to expire & renewing then was the concern that I might have difficulty re-upping with the same username, and that my forum registration might somehow get reset or erased altogether. Typical of me to make an impulsive decision, change my mind almost right away, and then procrastinate until the last minute when it comes to fixing my mistake.

Anyway, it's all sorted now. Back on board, recurring every month, and hopefully a little bit wiser for it.

Never hesitate to ask for help. If you want, you can always PM me and I will do what I can. I've been a member here for 11 years, and I help Vicky keep a lot of things straight (truth be known, of course, she helps me, haha) so I have a pretty good idea about a lot of things.

And, like I said, even if you're gone for 6 months or whatever, your original UN and access will be here, safe and sound. You will just pick up where you left off. Numerous folks have left and come back later, stepping right back into their shoes.

1) You don't have to get a new forum username, that is completely separate from the membership. For exactly that reason. You can come and go as a member, with different userrnames, but your forum member name is always here waiting for you and never changes.

2) the ccbill memberships usually expire at midnight Phoenix time, on the day of the expiration, so that's 2 am EST for us. You can just rejoin the next morning, no stress!

3) so glad you are staying! We would miss you terribly!

4) Make sure you put your birthday in your profile so it shows up on the forum home page and we can all wish you a happy birthday!
