I was shocked yesterday when I went out. Been a while since I filled up (June 7th. $2.57. I don't get out a lot, lol.) A holiday is here, so it's time to gouge the public again. Damn near every station is sitting at $2.79. Most every freakin' station. If this isn't collusion and price fixing, I don't know what is. (Click the picture to enlarge it.)

I paid $1.45 (Cdn) a litre for premium a few days ago. That's 5.50 a US gallon or 6.58 a real gallon (~smile). $ 4.24 and $5.06 in US funds. (But prices the last 2 weeks have been WAY higher than usual.)

Here in mid GA it's $2:36 for regular, but our gas has at least 10% Ethanol. To get gas without Ethanol it is $2.63 or more.
It's trending "up" here. What has gone way up is Groceries. We have a chain called Kroger that I get groceries & household or medical stuff. Being a "member" gets gas discounts: 10 cents per gallon for every hundred dollars of "groceries. End of last month I got 40 cent per 93 octane gallon ($2.19).

I went out shopping this morning and, would you believe it? Gas is down about $0.25/gal. Well, of course. The holiday is gone, no need to gouge people anymore. $2.53 here.

$2.37, Tropical Storm/Hurricane Barry caused a surge in gas prices because most of the oil rigs are in the Gulf and they had to be evacuated before the storm

$80 (CDN) to fill mine yesterday in Toronto. I think that's pretty much a tie.

What was interesting was I had to drive over 400 km to get to Toronto. The fuel gauge need moved from full to a hair under half. 150 kms of stop and go traffic in Toronto and the gauge went from half to fuel empty warning!! (The traffic really was lot more stop than go - even on Saturday!)

Wow that's insane! Yes ride your bicycle!

Now we have a hurricane rolling in, I'm sure all the gas stations will run out of gas again, and the ones that have gas can rip everyone else off...
