Is Dr.Dave ok?

Just a quick update! DrDave is still in the hospital cause of a couple of bumps in the road as I like to call them. Things like blood pressure not right, something that went wrong with a catheter (which I didn't ask after having to watch my ex go thru one), and just things not settled before they send him to rehab. He is still good spirits, cracking jokes with me. He thanks everyone for the prayers, well wishes and speedy recoveries.
I will keep u in formed when I know something.

Just to let u know! I last heard from DrDave on January 31st. Texted for quite awhile but he did mention that the doctors were talking about more surgery which DrDave was not happy about. Since I have not heard from him, I am afraid they did more. Cause before the the 31st he was checking in with me every day to let me know how he was doing. Just from his text he seemed in good spirit and was having a sense of humor.
I will let u know something when I know it! Keep the prayers and good thoughts going his way! He is ready to be back at the VNA!!

Walt did get a message from DrDave this morning and said he is fine. When I get more details I will let you all know. So he is still kicking!!

Actually, the message was: "Everything is fine fine fine," lol. He's not terribly vocal on texting (unlike at cam shows, lol.)

Okay I finally heard from DrDave today!! He is fine but still in the hospital and hoping no more surgery. The text I go tells that he is still on some good meds! haha! Didn't get anything from him right now! He is in Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage.

I am still talking to DrDave but he keeps hitting a few bumps so it keeps him in the hospital not going to rehab. They r treating him well. He loves the nurses' visits which tells me they are massaging certain areas that he is enjoying....hahah! So he is good along with the great meds they have him on! Cause he passes out and I wait till he wakes up to answer my questions which might take a couple of hours hahahaha! Just from what he says he has a ways to go but he is determined to be back at the VNA. He asks about the ladies and the members. He is still in good spirits but some days are harder than others. He appreciates the prayers, good vibes and good thoughts.

Just a little update on DrDave! He is still in good spirits cause we keep saying funny things back and forth. They took out part of his stitches. Now he is trying to find a place to move to where he is going to need further care that his insurance, Medicare and Medicaid approve of. I think he really wants to go somewhere out of state but he has applied to 2 places in Alaska that are in different cities than where he lives.
He says hi and thanks to everyone for the prayers and good healing vibes!

I hope things work out for him. I don't know what medicare and medicaid do or don't do. Your healthcare system is a Gordian knot that I cant begin to understand.
