If OnlyFans gets rid of porn altogether I think that would be the end of their entire business really. Although it was (officially) never set up for porn everyone knew that's what it really was. I don't think people would be all that interested in my page if I started posting photos to it of my baking results or Lego building (as I post to Instagram)! Haha!

I think because of the exposure the site has had, especially over the last year where it seems a lot of people turned to it as a source of income where they had lost their jobs or furloughed... not just sex workers but from all walks of live I think went there to try and ease some burdens... it's easier for the media to latch on to. This is the second time I recall seeing it in the UK media within the last several months. There was the (hang on I've just looked it up) thing with a Mrs Poindexter where the parents at her kid's school found the site and have been causing her family troubles. I wonder if similar sites like sospoilt or admireme get the same problems but we just don't hear them because OnlyFans is so well known at this point.

I have just realised I have tried to make conversation of this shortly after waking up and may not be making much sense! Haha!

What I do know is from the very few that I have followed on there in the past, and from what I read from others on twitter, is that despite how much OnlyFans has grown financially they don't appear to offer the support to creators you'd imagine they should and I see complaints from creators on there on various issues that with how much OF is making they should be able to get fixed realtively easily. This article highlights something a lot more serious that perhaps they really do need to buck up their act and start looking after their business a lot better.

They have already started tightening up stuff In the most ridiculous way, I had to remove some girl girl content with someone who is 35, who I have all the model releases and 2257 records for, but because she deleted her only fans account, I now have to remove her content. They are wanting me to contact her and get more releases signed - they are just a little bit different than the 100% legal FSC ones ones I already have.

Obviously I can't reach her, If she deleted all of her social media accounts and only fans and changed her phone number. Even if I did track her down, why would she want to sign more model releases for me, when she's obviously not in adult anymore? Even though she was paid to do a shoot, and she signed all the legal paperwork at the time, I don't know if she's obligated to sign more just for only fans?

To me it wasn't a hot seller and wasn't worth arguing over so I just deleted it..... I also had to delete some boy girl content of Dave and I, Even though they have all of his paperwork, have had it for years, But their systems are automated Or they have outsourced their tech support to places that don't speak English, And they wanted to force Dave to have an Only fans account that was public with his face on the cover and link every single bit of content to its. He obviously didn't want to do that, So again it was easier to just delete the content than argue about it especially when they were threatening to close my account.

There is probably a legal case here, if they are stopping you from generating income from something you are legally entitled to. But, as they know, its not worth your bother to take them to court.

There is going to be a lot of migration to the other platforms, although I'm certain they'll be facing similar battles, if they aren't already. While I applaud the idea that creators are be able to manage and distribute their own content, quite frankly, I was never impressed by OF. Their support sucked and it just seems like another middleman run cash-grab with the potential to pull the rug at any moment.

They are just shitty period. In every way. This is what they sent to us, so we referred our friends and sites that we webmaster. I referred 3 or 4 of our girls to them, told them to make money where they could, knowing that website sales would go down.

Then last month they decided to turn it off. They said lifetime only means one year. They shit all over the people who built them into the billion dollar business that they are today.

I think most companies will supply the goods or services contracted for. Is that what you mean by reputable? I just don't trust most companies to stand behind the goods or services if they fail.

I had a new window cut in my basement some years ago. The window well wasn't installed properly, it filled with mud and water poured into the basement two years after they did the work. The wouldn't come back and fix it. I had to pay another company to redo the window well.

I had my house fixed up under an insurance claim after a tornado a few years ago. I paid for, but never got around to having the window shutters replaced (because I could not decide on the colour). Now, 2 years after I paid them, I called the company and asked about the shutters. They had someone out within a couple of days to take measurements, no questions asked.

I'd consider the second company reputable, the first one not.

Yes, Lance, it's a minefield. My auto insurance company stands behind everything they do. But you are right. Companies that do that seem to be rather scarce.

I never went into business, as I'm a technical type guy. So I don't understand much about business beyond one of the purposes is to make money. But I pretty much believe that any company that does work for someone needs to stand behind their product or service. I guess that it depends on the business. I mean, if they offer a warranty or guarantee, they need to stand behind it. But you still need to read that fine print. I have even made people give me a blank copy of a contract if it's detailed. One fellow once seemed to be reluctant. But I said, "This is a detailed contract. I need to read and understand it before I sign it." If you want my business, that's how it works. Those folks need to remember that, as long as it's in my pocket, it's my money. If they want some of it, they gotta convince me, lol.

I think we are very trusting people. That's what makes things so hard. We trust others to do what they say they will. But in todays world, you really need to get that written proof (and pictures help.)

The irony here is that all OF is doing is cutting their own throats, because those forces who want to take porn down completely are not going to be satisfied with even the overly strict requirements.

At least, for now, there are alternatives like AVN Stars and Loyal Fans, although I'm guessing they will be in the crosshairs before long, too.
