Bob Saget Died From Head Trauma In Florida Hotel, Family Says
Authorities determined that comedian and actor Bob Saget died from an accidental blow to the head while in Florida, his family confirmed.

ORLANDO, FL — Comedian and "Full House" star Bob Saget, 65, died from an accidental blow to the head, his family said Wednesday.

Earlier reports had originally speculated he may have died from a stroke or heart attack, or COVID-19, which he said he had in December. However, family members officially confirmed that was not the case.

“The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma," the Saget family said in a statement reported by multiple news outlets, including CNN. "They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”

In the statement, the family said it has been overwhelmed with "the incredible outpouring of love from Bob’s fans" and were comforted by it.

"As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter," the family also said in the statement
Saget was found dead Jan. 9 in his hotel room at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities determined that no foul play was involved.

TMZ reported authorities don't know what Saget struck his head on, possibly the bed's headboard, but there was a bruise on the back of his head. He went to sleep and never woke up.

Saget had performed in the area the night before in Jacksonville as part of his stand-up tour, "I Don't Do Negative."

Early on Jan. 9, Saget posted a selfie with the tweet, thanking the appreciative audience.

Saget was best known for his role as beloved single dad Danny Tanner on the sitcom “Full House” and as the wisecracking host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”

He is survived by a wife and three daughters from a previous marriage.

Awwww, that's a shame. I liked Gilbert.

Rest in peace, Gilbert. You made us laugh.

“Although today is a sad day for us all, please keep laughing as loud as possible in Gilbert’s honor,” his family wrote.

Thank you, Davest. I hadn't seen this in any of my news feeds.

I think in the US, she was best known because of her role in Seinfeld, but when I saw the picture, I immediately thought, that's Alf's neighbor (Raquel Ochmonek)! Alf was insanely popular here, it was my favorite show when I was a kid.

I loved Alf! He had a short-lived talk show that I thought was rather good. While looking for a sample of the talk show, I found this interview on Good Morning America that I had never seen before. Unfortunately, I have to use an ordinary link because ABC Entertainment has apparently blocked it from being embedded in sites other than YouTube.

And there are partial fragments of his show available under a channel with his name. Here is a part of the pilot:

As for Liz Sheridan, that's too bad. The article you linked to also pointed out that we lost Estelle Harris just a couple of weeks prior:

In addition to playing George's mother on Seinfeld, Mrs. Harris was the voice of Mrs. Potato Head in the Toy Story movies.

So sad, losing so many greats! Goes to show you! Enjoy every minute you have! Be nice to the people you care about. It could be over before you know it.

Absolutely! I don't worry about much anymore. I learned after my wife passed that in the end money, clothes, cars, houses just don't really matter. What does is how you treat people and how you enjoy your life while here. I'd rather people remember how I made them laugh or knew I had their back when needed instead of what kind of car I drove or how nice I dressed.

Just be kind

It's was a rough week for Seinfeld alumni as Estelle Harris, who played George's mom, passed a week earlier. Both were 93, which is a pretty decent run.

Once you reach 79 or so, you really start noticing that all the people you've admired your whole life are all dying off.

Rest in Peace, Gary. Thank you for all of the fun and entertainment you brought us.
