Davest wrote: October 2nd, 2021, 2:55 am I really enjoyed F-Troop, though it never (or very rarely) seemed to show up in syndication. I wonder if they didn't make enough episodes to be picked up in syndication? Jeebus, I even remember the names of Forrest Tucker and Larry Storch, though I may have gotten the spelling wrong. Weird the things you remember even 50+ years later.
Davest, u spelled the names right! I remember that show, it was funny.

Joanna Cameron died from a stroke this week. I had such a crush on her when I was a kid and she starred in the saturday morning super hero show The Secrets of Isis.

One of the best obituaries I have ever read. Was she a friend of yours in El Paso, Walt?

It seems lately people are dropping left and right.
Both Meatloaf and Louie Anderson died today. While I never really followed Louie Anderson I just read yesterday the Louie Anderson was battling cancer and a day later he is gone.

I was really saddened to hear about Meatloaf. I love the Bat out of Hell Albums and still listen to them regularly. NPR was doing the story on his passing and played a clip where he described himself not as a singer but as an actor who liked to sing. I was surprised to hear he had been in over 70 movies.

I blasted meat loaf for a solid hour during our workouts today..... What a huge loss.... My trainer is younger than me and of course never heard of meatloaf..... He wasn't particularly fond of it.... Or maybe it was my singing.... Paradise by the dashboard lights...... Forgive me but I just have to post some of these......
This one particularly beautiful....

Well damn! Turns out Bob Saget died from a blow to the head? WTF?
Bob Saget Died From Head Trauma In Florida Hotel, Family Says
Authorities determined that comedian and actor Bob Saget died from an accidental blow to the head while in Florida, his family confirmed.

ORLANDO, FL — Comedian and "Full House" star Bob Saget, 65, died from an accidental blow to the head, his family said Wednesday.

Earlier reports had originally speculated he may have died from a stroke or heart attack, or COVID-19, which he said he had in December. However, family members officially confirmed that was not the case.

“The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma," the Saget family said in a statement reported by multiple news outlets, including CNN. "They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”

In the statement, the family said it has been overwhelmed with "the incredible outpouring of love from Bob’s fans" and were comforted by it.

"As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter," the family also said in the statement
Saget was found dead Jan. 9 in his hotel room at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities determined that no foul play was involved.

TMZ reported authorities don't know what Saget struck his head on, possibly the bed's headboard, but there was a bruise on the back of his head. He went to sleep and never woke up.

Saget had performed in the area the night before in Jacksonville as part of his stand-up tour, "I Don't Do Negative."

Early on Jan. 9, Saget posted a selfie with the tweet, thanking the appreciative audience.

Saget was best known for his role as beloved single dad Danny Tanner on the sitcom “Full House” and as the wisecracking host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”

He is survived by a wife and three daughters from a previous marriage.
