Here was certainly a sin worth sinning and I applied myself with characteristic vigour to its practice

I realize that I'm talking about Alaska, but, actually, the site I was at, Sparrevohn, is a tad farther north than Stavanger. The first winter I spent there, I bought a Honda 3-wheeler ATV from a guy who was leaving. Sometime in the dead of winter we got a good snow. It wasn't like your picture, Steinar (That's scary, lol.) but the snow drifted right up to and over our barracks. I remember we did have to dig a tunnel out at the front door so we could get out.
Anyway, the snow on the south side had also drifted up to the roof line. So, just to get a picture, I drove my ATV right up onto the roof. Was scary coming back down, because it was pretty steep. But I made it down without killing myself, lol.
I think I'll put a picture and a story in my travelogue.
