On Netflix there is a 90-minute documentary, executive produced by Dan Rather, called Human Nature. It does a great job explaining the current state of human genome editing and the ethical considerations involved. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I really enjoyed it.

Watched a british crime drama on Netfilx called The Five. During a murder investigation the dna results of a blood sample found at the scene come back as belonging to a child who disappeared twenty years ago when he was only five. Its only 10 episodes, though I feel it probably could have been cut down to 8. Overall I enjoyed it.

When has a dramatic series had a really satisfying ending? So many of these things get canned either too late or too early. Give me 3-5 seasons max and a solid story arch, I think that's the winning formula.
Some of these shows running 5+ seasons get so stretched. LOST was a huge letdown, Sopranos was so-so, Breaking Bad did alright with it, but so many fall short. Actually following this example, Better Call Saul is a solid sequel and I thought El Camino was a nice fan service bookend to the original series but it's such a rarity.
Watched a few interesting ones in the past week.
First up, a David Cronenberg classic, Naked Lunch from 1991. If you haven't seen a Cronenberg movie, they define disturbing creature features. This was right up there with his other classics like Videodrome and eXistenZ for WTF factor.
Second one I caught last night was a film called Excision. Coming of age story meets psycho-sexual slow burn with lots of dark humor and corn syrup covered dream sequences. Wasn't sure if I should be jerking off (yes, boobs @Rokkerr) or psychoanalyzing myself for wanting to. Great supporting roles by Traci Lords and John Waters.

Have been watching Farscape on Amazon. Its a good sci fi series that ran from 1999 to 2004 about an astronaut who is pulled thru a worm hole to a distant part of the galaxy and when he is blamed for the death of the brother of a high ranking military officer he winds up being part of a crew of escaped prisoners on a living ship trying to keep from being recaptured. If you like sci fi space stories I recommend it

Kicking Ass and Taking Names :)
Hulu is showing an ABC news special on Only Fans. They profiled several creators ranging from those who dont do full nudity to those who do explicit porn. One of the people profiled was the female mechanic who was fired from her mechanics job after some of the male mechanics found out she had an only fans site. I started watching Suits to see if Markle was actually any good as an actress (she is a lousy human being).
Answer - nope she isn't but her character explains a lot about her subsequent life!
I do have to thank her however, as I became addicted to the series - really good stuff!!
Here was certainly a sin worth sinning and I applied myself with characteristic vigour to its practice

There are a couple of really good shows just on over here in blighty at present.
Just coming to the end on BBC is "The Serpent" about a Franco-Asian guy set in the 70s who kills backpackers & tourists to Bangkok for their money and passports etc. The Dutch Embassy guy (and his wife) who solve the murders is quite entertaining, and the Serpent's mistress Monique is played by Jenna Coleman who is pretty hot (remember her as Clara in Dr Who?); and when she talks in that French accent I go weak at the knees!!
Another good series is on Sky - ZeroZeroZero.
A joint Sky/Italian crime series about N'ghanera (sorry about the spelling) and Mexican drug cartels. The story goes back and forth, telling it from three points of view - the Italian organised crime, the American brokers and the Mexican Army anti-drug units. Pretty compelling stuff .

Not netflix or amazon, but this is movie related. I recently watched an episode of Steve Colbert where he interviewed Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and George Clooney. One of the questions he asked them was "favourite action movie". My mind went blank at the question and the only movie I could come up with was Zulu. Later on I added Magnificent 7, The Good The Bad and The Ugly and then Bullit. And the Daniel Craig version of Casino Royale.

Been watching an Irish show called Striking Out.. cancelled after two seasons but an interesting diversion in legal drama with a hottie Irish girl in the lead... set in Dublin..

"Ozark" - the 4th and last season, is being filmed now in GA. I have been attempting to get an extras role, unsuccessful so far, but I have a friend that's doing some scenes now.
There will be 14 episodes broken into two segments of 7 episodes each. A new character is introduced, and some real surprises on how it ends.
(On a side note, I have been successful with getting an extras role in an upcoming Marvel movie. It's the sequel to last Spider Man with Zendaya & Tom Holland. I have done one scene and go back for a second in March. It's amazing what all goes into making one scene!!!)

As a kid, I used to read every Marvel comic I could get my hands on. I think the first Spiderman is the only Marvel movie I've watched though.
A google search of "top 100 action movies" does return quite a few of Marvel movies.
There's a lot to dig through, but for the most part I'd say they're all worthy of a viewing. Deadpool, Thor Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy really stand out.
