Probably a lot cheaper to simply say that it's their support animal. They wouldn't need a helicopter just an ordinary plane ticket. People have actually tried that with a (miniature) horse.

Just for a lark, I plotted a route on google maps - 11,000 km! I suppose I could plan a 1 month road trip some time next year. But I suspect it will never happen quite that way.
